Boo Hewerdine is widely regarded as a songwriting legend, an artist with a musical C.V of international collaborations and hit songs that stretch over two decades and many genres. In a 2009 review of his album ‘God Bless the Pretty Things’, the BBC described Hewerdine as “one of Britain’s most consistently accomplished songwriters”.
The cultured quality of his songs has certainly been recognized by his peers. Natalie Imbruglia, Mel C, Suggs and k.d. lang are among those who’ve benefited from his pen and he’s been an influential collaborator with others, notably Eddi Reader,

Boo released his first career retrospective ‘My Name In Brackets’ (The Best of Boo Hewerdine & The Bible) on December 8th 2014 via Reveal Records. Featuring 18 of the greatest songs from Boo’s time leading The Bible in the mid-eighties and his subsequent solo career, the compilation spans over 25 years worth of recordings and includes some brand new songs.
