Nicely done, Mohib. You guys did a great job here. Be proud!

'Hello' is indeed a very simple yet powerful documentary, targeting the pivotal role of the Media on our collective thought. Though categorized as a documentary, the film is no less than a work of art;as it barely follows the usually seen template of a documentary, dialogue and narration. All dialogue being executed executed in an impressive and subtle, indirect manner, so much so that the film doesn't rely on actors or voice for its narrative.

The films most striking and absorbing attribute is its use of 'suggestion'. The documentary uses symbolism and silent suggestion with perfect timing thus making the film a very evocative work indeed.

The film despite being simple and effective, does not have commercial appeal. Truly so, the film can cater to and affect intelligent and aware audiences.

I really appreciate the work, and feel proud of the people behind it. Keep up the good work and all the best of luck for the future!

Thanks a lot Qurat-ul-ain for liking, understanding, and appreciating our film. Your comments and feedback gives us motivation to do more and more better :)

what if somebody doesnt know english ,reading comes later.....pathetic script and ideas ..........wow what a bunch of bozo's..........sorry mate expand your horizons start watching documentaries on nat geo for starters and believe me film camps and getting high dont make film makers ......... observation, experiences, viewing and a lot of reading do........

Please do not suggest dependence on borrowed inspiration. Also, you forgot a key ingredient to good documentary/film... EXPERIMENTATION!

Hello Nalayak Student,

First of all i am glad that you commented bcoz usually if the people dont like something they wouldnt bother to comment or give feedback, but you made an effort and i appreciate it.

As in reply to your comment, well firstly this film is intended purly for audience who KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS ENGLISH. This is not for local masses (atleast for now), it was specifically made for LIDF 2010, and our target audience were the people watching it on 1st May 2010 at LIDF 2010, all other screenings etc is the secondary audience, that also includes and is targeted towards only those who know and understand english.

Secondly i think there is no point in comparing this to a NAT GEO documentary as they are docudrama or typical/classical documentaries as i would say. HELLO is an experimental film, it was not easy to make and its not easy to understand too. We did our best in observation, viewing, reading and all the other aspects.

The idea of humanity, and how human and similar we all are is i guess the biggest idea that can bring a social change.

We might not be commercially successful with HELLO, and trust me we dont want any commercial success from it, where we need to be commercially sound, we do stuff you are referring too. This is not the only film we have done as film-makers, this was our experiment and from the feedback we are getting, i think we have done pretty well in it.

Still if you have any other queries, we would love to discuss them.

Thanks for your interest and feedback
Regards,
Mohib :)

It totally amuses me on how people bother to comment on something they barely have the aptitude to understand. there is a term "Target audience" and mr. nalayak you are definitely not in that league. yet what was great about you is that you tried understanding something above your competency and even commented no matter how utterly ill mannered it was.
Enjoy your NAT GEO inspired life. We prefer looking beyond.
Thank you
The filmmakers.

The emotional vulnerability and long distance empathy between friends nicely underscores the tribalism of sports and the violence of online games, or vice versa. Boys will be boys, wherever they may be...

thanku hussain bhai and everyone else. We would like further discussions on how you interpret this subject

This is a good film, showing how people are like in relaity and how the internet brings people from different beliefs n cultures together and share normal interests and how they are just like good friends having a good time! Good job guys, keep it up.

It's simply awesome!
Remarkable how you portrayed the subject in its simplest form :)
"Blood is red whosoever it flows from" very well concluded (Y)
Cheers to your creativity guys!!

Thanks alot, and im glad to see how people are liking this and getting the concept of this film :D

Now this is something interesting! good job guys, and we sure need more stuff like this.....gr8 example portraying how human we are! :)

thanks alot guys ur comments really matter

I liked it, congrats!
It's impressing how, in a simple chat, u can deal of such a ticklish argument. nice job!

ciao

Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow.”
from core of my heart.keep it guys......................... wish you best of luck

Its a good film! it reflects on how nationalities & man made border's are no longer an excuse to interact with each other. After all man is a social animal it is ones right to communicate and make friends.

Hello is a brilliant film, and i really enjoyed working on it. this film is how people from different cultures should be towards each other.
i particularly enjoyed working with Mohib Billoo

hello is one of the most debatable documentaries around! this makes it even more worth watching and definitly a film worth making!

One of my best films so far! :D
